Douro Excellence Tour

Our Excellence tour is designed so that you can get the most comprehensive experience of the Douro, its history, traditions and gastronomy. We aim to provide an authentic, high-end experience, in a blend of tradition and modernism. A typical program is as follows:

8h – 8h30: Hotel Pickup;
10h – Visit to Casal de Loivos, a traditional Douro village. Olive oil, almonds and honey tasting at D’Origem.
11h30 – Arrival at the Quinta. Vineyard tour and shop visit with a local guide. Wine, sausage and cheese tasting.
13h – Lunch break.
15h – Visit to Pinhão train station and “Rabelo” boat tour*.
17h – Visit do Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Sanctuary in Lamego.
19h30 – Return to Porto.

*Weather conditions may render the boat tour impossible. In that instance this activity will be substituted by a Douro Museum visit.
