Religious Tour

Religion has always been a cornerstone of the Douro life. In this tour we will linger a bit more in Lamego, the religious heart of the Douro. There we will visit some of the most important religious monuments of the city, such as:

Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Sanctuary;
Lamego Cathedral;
Desterro Chapel;
Lamego Museum.

We then have a launch break in a typical restaurant in Lamego , followed by a visit to Castanheiro do Sul, a typical Douro village, where we will visit the São Domingos chapel and understand how local traditions are closely related to religion.
